Happy Birthday, America!
Philadelphia is proud to be the birthplace of freedom. When the Declaration of Independence was signed right here on July 4, 1776, the founding fathers set forth the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The 13 American colonies were no longer content to be ruled by the British and took a collective first step to forming the United States of America.
